In the year 1971, a 22 year old Crisostomo Bustamante proved that a club isn’t really the best place to find a lover as he met 20 year old Gloria Sorrento in a bar where both of them happened to work. Few shifts were done with each other and the two immediately made a connection. 3 years into their loving relationship when Crisostomo decided to finally marry the love of his life, Gloria. Once they were already financially stable, they both left their respective jobs as bartender and barista and took their knowledge with beverages to establish their own winery and a plantation for coffee beans and grapes in the province of Cebu.From humble beginnings in Manila, the couple decided to move to Cebu where not only their farm and plantation bear fruits. In the year 1974, Gloria birthed their first and only child, Bianca Bustamante who then became the sole heir to their family's fortune. Crisostomo Bustamante amassed an empire built on wine making and coffee bean production to become one of the country's wealthiest men in the late - 20th-century. His wife Gloria was his lucky charm, as it was she who had the foresight to buy large tracts of land in Mandaluyong, Muntinlupa, Cavite, and Laguna. She was also the one who sees more than what meets the eye and encouraged her husband to support their child’s career options that has been passed down until the current generation of their family. Now their family consists of Artists, Businessmen, Politicians, and more of the likes who are all thriving and are the best in their chosen fields.At the age of 60 and 62, Crisostomo and Gloria bid their farewell. Leaving their family's destiny in the hands of their child, Bianca Bustamante who has a legacy to continue, and an empire to run.
